Who want´s to Jam/record something with me?

Hi guys!

This section doesnt seem to be working properly. I dont know what it is, the concept/idea is good.
However, the "Little Wing" jam we did gave birth in an exellent way. So, right now, i want to offer me to record ANYTHING you like with me. If you want an specific song just write it here and lets record it.

Anything, from a jam to a cover or an original composition, LETS DO IT

Lets have some fun!!

Elle

I love your changes great work , like I said this was only a demo a bit of a starting point . so you had some musical direction as far as beat ect goes .

I can do a say 3 minute rhytmn part but that might mean Elle having to do her beautiful singing again thats all ..
Like I said this was a demo only just to find out if we were all thinking along the same lines ..

I'll go and tune my guitar and find that groove again I reckon 3 minutes or so should give plenty of room for you lead guitarists ..

A little lead intro then Elle jumps in after the first chorus more lead back to Elle and so on , Nice loud solo to finsh off maybe ?

Let me know I am totally knew to makeing music and I honestly need alot of guidence ..

Elle...you did a great job fitting the words to the rythmn.
Hilch...can you add another verse? I think if you stretch out the rythmn as I suggested and give Elle a verse for the ending it will be long enough.
Great job so far people...

bass..drums....other things can be added as this all comes together.

LOL Hilch....after coming out of doing blues jams for the past couple of years, ANY song that is under 22 minutes long is welcome!

The only things I can think of, that wouldn't be acceptable for the 3 minute rule, are hard-boiled eggs and umm something else...So yes, that's great!

And that's about right, Hilch, in my personal experience, 4 bars in of intro, then 4 bars of lead, then, right into the verse (4 bars) followed by the chorus....then 4 or even 8 bars of lead, last verse of 4 bars, chorus of 4 bars, 4 bars of 'chimp, chimp,' accompanied by 'wangin' solo on lead, then out.

It's a bit cookie-cutter, but it works. Does anyone have percussion they can lay down? I could pitch in tambourine..!

And that's a heckuva lotta bars, reminds me of a Friday night...

<queue to sound of drunk in crowd yelling "FRRREEEEEE BIIIIIRRRRRRRD!">

If somebody more expert (i.e. X4String) doesn't jump in on it, I'll give the bass line a try when we come up with a working track. Still a noobie at bass, but love layin' down those grooves!

Git to jumpin Stratrat, I don't even have a bass anymore and your playing sounds as good if not better than what I could do anyways.

a little warning for you all though...I tend to like to lurk in the background on these things and thro a clip in now and then of some of the fun I have with what you guys {& gals} come up with, see I play better when I feel no pressure and I always learn something each time...Let er rip rockers..

No worries, Trev, I got it re-done, the longer version is attached. Umm...was that YOU singing in the opening chorus, or did you double me up? I swear, you sound like ME...ok, no more beer for me...

I'm not perfectly happy about ALL of it, but this can serve as a rough cut for others to cut in with their fancy wahhhhh wahhhh's and percussion, etc. Once all the noisemakers have had a shot at it, I'll redo the vocals again. There are 24 bars after chorus #2, for solo's...knock yerselves unconscious, everyone! Also, there are some more bars after verse/chorus #3, just because verse #4 would not fit in that particular stanza. So we can perhaps chop some of that out, Trev/Hilch, if you like, and go right to the 4th verse/chorus. Then more lead overtop of me singing at the end, and doin' my bla bla bla's...drown me out, just YOU ALL TRY!!!

Oh, and this has no rhythm guitar to it, as Trev/Hilch is throwing this up into his recording, and I'm sure he'll post that version for you all to work on. No, dear reader, you completely read that wrong, he was NOT throwing up on his recording...hehehe

PSS. If you can stand to listen right thru to the end, Trev, I put a little prezzie in there for ya...might give ya a giggle!

  She's a Chimp!

Ack, the timing is wayyy off, now, I'm jumping in at the downbeat, the upbeat, the crossbeat, etc...LOL I liked the double-up, Hilch.

Well, it gives you all an idea, but I'll definitely redo the vocals at some point just to get the timing more correct.

When I do the re-record, though, we're still going to have to marry the two tracks to be in perfect sync, and I am unsure just how to do that. I was recording the vocals by using headphones, listening to Hilch's playing, and the hardest part is getting the 'clicks' to work at the right time...do you hit record first, then the song, count it in, then start singing? That's sort of what I did.

Actually the timing 'catches' up nearer to the end, not sure why, but even though I failed math most of my life, I followed the formulas and came in where I was supposed to.

Love this, Hilch, and do ya know, I dreamed about monkey's last night? Do you realize that there are words that rhyme with chimp that we could adlib into the ending..? hehehe I want to add in,"'She's a chimp, but HE's a CHUMP..." Oh, and by take 14 or whatever it was that I was working on, the 'chimp' often became a 'shimp' or even 'shrimp'...

Would anyone be capable of doing some monkey sounds at the end...? If this is a true tongue-in cheek about a cheeky monkey, well, we're missing the sound effects, maybe jungle sounds? Percussion could be based upon that as well, and we're also not using any 'grinder' sounds, so if there are any organ grinders out there, well, step up, please! LOL

This was great fun, can't wait to get it moved forward, now..!

Elle
