Who want´s to Jam/record something with me?
Hi guys!
This section doesnt seem to be working properly. I dont know what it is, the concept/idea is good.
However, the "Little Wing" jam we did gave birth in an exellent way. So, right now, i want to offer me to record ANYTHING you like with me. If you want an specific song just write it here and lets record it.
Anything, from a jam to a cover or an original composition, LETS DO IT
Lets have some fun!!

Well, I didn't get anything done today as far as the recording, sorry. I got a bit sidetracked, was trying to learn "yesterday" by the beatles. And, I was learning three versions at once (I probably shouldn't do that). Plus golfing (got rained out, hmph) and a good round of tennis.
So, hopefully tomorrow, though I won't promise anything this time.
Hey hilch. Song ideas... I can't think of anything really. I think it'd be interesting if we did something history related, like a war or an important event. As I understand it, its easier to do something like that when inspiration doesn't come suddenly.
I don't have any song ideas with only chords D A G, and no capo (lost it). So, I think you could do the rhythm part, I could try and do some acoustic solo stuff over it in parts. Maybe we could split the rhythm into parts, one guy does verse, one does chorus, one does bridge? just throwing ideas around.
Hilch, you're a good singer if I'm not mistaken, perhaps you could do the singing?

Here are some lyrics I was thinking of , if you cast your eyes over them that would be great ..
I can change anything in here that does not suit , I had a bit of trouble comeing up with a theme or topic so this might not be the greatest subject ..
She's a Chimp
She don't do it for the money
She does it for her honey
He is nothing but her pimp
The organ grinder , shes the chimp
Different client every hour
Shes no blossoming flower
Shes been belted a few times
And committed petty crimes
A police record at the station
Disowned by all her relations
She never wanted to listen
All the family love she is missing
She don't do it for the money
She does it for her honey
He is nothing but her pimp
The organ grinder , shes the chimp
__--
I didn't sing as I can not sing but I made a 1 minute little musical demo on rhythmn for you ..
And you can hear that hear
SoundClick song info: She's a chimp by hilch - Song info page with free MP3 music downloads
Let me know ?

I don't know if we should change lyrics. I think that this song is a bit sad for the nice happy major chords on the rhythm track. Also, I have some slight changes I would make, if these lyrics were of my own creation, but I haven't written many lyrics really. So, if you want to see my critique, let me know.
If you want to make some more lyrics, maybe on something history related, that'd be good. Then we could pick and choose which we like best.
Maybe I'll get some lyrics written, dunno. I think I can get some guitar work done, but I don't know how really. I have tons of ideas I've got stored on my hard drive, but none of them involve a capo, or the chords you played on the rhythm track. So, a bit stuck. Should I post some ideas I have?

Hilch,
Love the lyrics! LOL Still trying to figure out how to fit them into the rhythm link you posted...I might need to 'expand' or 'shrink' some of them...Permission to do so, Captain? LOL

Ok, just a rough cut, and remember...
I'm a total newbie at recording on Audacity, so I have no clue how to separate the tracks or any other tricks that you all seem to be able to do...LOL
Hilch, modifications? Had to change the lyrics in the middle part, not sure if the change works or not, but open to adjustments here...!

hilch, forget I said anything about changes. in fact, forget about my last post entirely.
Ellenback, good job with the vocals.
I think if I'm going to add anything to this song, it'll be a solo. So, hopefully I can write one that suits the song.

Good one, SlickCat! Now all I gotta do is come back with vocals at the ending, "she's a chimp..., chimp, chimp, chimp..." LOL (maybe add in some bird sounds???)
It's still only 2.5 minutes long though, so lots of room for more additions...correct?
