I need lyrics!!!

I've got a snippet of a song that could be developed into something pretty nifty, I think, but my weakness is lyrics. I'm trying to come up with something snappy and witty to go along with this. If anyone has any ideas or wants to take a crack at writing some lyrics for this, it would be hugely appreciated. I've only got about 30 minutes into this song including recording time, so don't worry if it needs to get re-arranged.

CanuckTodd was kind enough to shoot over some lyrics to a song he had put together and strangely enough, they seem to fit like a glove! With some very minor tweaking, I think we might have a song. I'm going to ask my sister to sing it- she may be able to put a bit of Nora Jones in there. Now to get it all together........
Hey Chris,
Can't wait to hear the hand in glove collaboration! Tell your sis to feel free to tweak the lyrics and simplify it where needed. I found a couple of phrases might be too much of a mouthful.

Here's what CanuckTodd and I have put together as a VERY rough draft. I'm going to get my sister to sing it- she'll be able to a great job on this. I'll need to go back through and re-record everything, rearrange it, and try to come up with a bridge. This is just a sneak peek that will give you an idea of the style, etc.

I think you can sing great Chris and love this version, but I'm looking forward to hearing your sister give it a whirl too. Cracks me up still that I was thinking country and yet the lyrics seem to fit as a bluesy, jazzy number. Go figure!

Aw Hilch, Kenny, there's more than one way to skin a tune! My lyrics are more of a bittersweet love song, not so much a talking trash tune. So I guess the song now has a family rating!

But it just dawned on me that I didn't post the lyrics to the tune. Ignore the chords in this PDF, as they were the ones I was dabbling with trying for a country and western twanger.

Chris has already made some good changes, and I suspect more are coming once his sister takes a spin at the mike.

Feedback from critics and supporters all encouraged. This is a collaboration forum after all!

Thanks x4stringDrive...
I feel like an expectant father waiting for Chris and his sister to release the full bluesy version! No pressure Chris!

I think I might take my guitar on the road with me tomorrow overnight and see if I can get some of the tracks laid down. Unfortunately, I'm back to using my old laptop which has an absolutely HORRIBLE soundcard in it- I have this feeling that if this song comes out nicely, I'll end up re-doing it again when I eventually have a nicer recording setup.......
