Alas, Kush, you're asking the wrong guy. I'm a beginner and wound up getting my guitar and amp online from
musiciansfriend.com on the advice of an experienced lead guitarist/friend. I myself live in a relatively small community with one local shop, "Music Madness." I picked up a Korg tuner there and will occasionally drop in to get picks and such but I'm not at all that familiar with who has what as far as guitars go. If your friend's in one of the larger metro areas (Ft. Lauderdale/Miami, Daytona, Tampa/St. Pete, Jacksonville, etc) he can do an online search and probably find a good store within driving distance.
