Gibson, Zion, Breedlove

My dad (eddiez152) has been asking me to post a picture of my guitars. Here are three of them.

The guitar on the left is a Ed Gerhardt signature series breedlove. It is Indian Rosewood back and sides, Sitka spruce top, Ebony bridge, fretboard and headstock, and Koa bindings. I love this guitar, although it's a bit pointy in parts.

The guitar in the middle is a Zion Bent T. It is one of the last guitars built while Ken (the mastermind and originator of Zion Guitars) was still actively building. He now has a muscular disorder that keeps him from physically building the guitars but is still involved in the company. It is made of top quality flamed maple, the fretboard is rosewood, and it has some amazing Lindy Fralin pickups. It picks up that whole SRV midrange in your face kind of lead. I have played it on the exact same settings as an american Strat, and it quite simply blows them away in terms of tone, volume, and playability.

The guitar on the right is a Gibson B45 12. It's serial number places back in the 60's, and is the identical guitar to the one played in the Moody Blues "Knights in White Satin" video. My dad passed this one on to me.

I have a fender bullet, an old classical, and an Infinox by JTG 1980's rock guitar hanging on my wall that are not pictured.

Allthumbs,

My Zion blows the strats away. My buddies (2 of them) have 2 american strats (higher end ones) - and the Zion has much more attack, and that Stevie Ray Vaughn'ish soun. I'm sold on them. I do, however, wish I had gotten something with at least 1 humbucker.

Do you have a pic of the Infinox by JTG? I also have one and never seen another. I'll have to get a pic up soon.

It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
