Cool First finger picking tune: Hotel California

Ok, all this talk about finger picking, and after going through some lessons from Kirk, and after hearing some great tunes from all of you, I had to give it a try.
Here's my 11 string version of Hotel California. I busted the G string. (a common occurence on 12 strings)
For someone who has only strummed (with the exception of the intro to Dust in The Wind) for the past 8 months or so, this was a challenge!
My right hand is used to only going up and down and my fingers are used to clenching a pick. But this was fun, if erratic. After listening to it, I realized I forgot to play the bass note many times in search of some melody.

I also found it really hard to get any "noise" or ring from the F chord and had similar trouble with dminor. Is this common?

Feeback is welcome, as this style is totally new for me, but I like it.
Now when I search the house for a pick and can't find one, at least I can still play some guitar!
