Who is up for a challenge ???

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/song...songID=5291388

Vocal track for a song I wrote ,,,

I am no singer and I aint no guitarists either but thought it would be fun to see if anyone was interested in makeing some noise with me ..

Hey I can re-do the vocals as I did make a mistake in this one anyway ..

I've never done mixing either but hey only one to learn ...

Don't be shy or I may have to do it all by myself and that would be just terrible ...

I sing better than I play , so you get my drift I am a very ordinary guitarist ...

The lyrics are here

Everybody lies
But not everybody
Cries

Your white lies
Make crying eyes
Your bigger lies
Destroy our lives

Think before you speak
Gossip cuts so deep
Rumours can end us all
Don't take your bat and ball

Everybody lies
But not everybody
Cries

Not everybody cries

I won't stand your rot
Honest you are not
You say what I want to hear
When you leave we will all cheer

There is no horse or cart
Say the words from your heart
Don't tell those deceitful lies
I won't be the one who cries

Everybody lies
But not everybody
Cries

Not everybody cries

Hi Eddie, I've only just caught up with this great collab. I'm blown away - the voice, the phrasing. the bass guitar, keyboards, lead guitar and the rock solid beat/rhythm, and such a great interpretation of the lyrics....all perfect - and you really bring out the meaning (and pain).....can't stop listening to it - great work to you and Hilch

Why carol m,
I am earth shaken by you comments. Although I practiced it for the lyrics a number of times. The final was a one shot take and I just got lucky. I am happy that you liked it. Even to this day, I am still puzzled by the lyrics Trev wrote, and how to produce it. To my surprise it came out very well.
Thank you.

Great collab, guys! Hilch - you're becoming quite the songwriter, and Eddie - you did a great job on bringing it to life.

My last words on this people , now when you see lyrics that have been written don't be too quick and say they are this ...or that ......

Try to feel the emotion of the words not just the words a example of this is the chorus simple easy , but its how the singer phrases them words along with neat pause like Eddie did .

There are no emotion in just a word but put that same word in a story and get a good story teller / singer then emotions will flow .

Whats this all about , did anyone try to guess what Eddie was singing about ?

Its a song about my father a man I never knew , he was abusive alcoholic that my dear ol mum left when I was 3 ..

Everybody Lies
But not everybody
Cries

Thank you Eddie for bringing this to life in the manner we discussed prior to recording , Thank you everyone else who listened and commented

Trevor

Trev,
This is not the end. I am going to try this again sometime. Only the next time I will record it all without the vocals. I want to do them in their own track so they can be removed. This way you can do them.
I have a much better understanding of the lyric, and now more folks here do too.
