Holy Cow! - For all of the baseball fans :)

We took the grandson's to baseball practice today. I had taken my reso to practice some other things but soon enough with the sun shining and the crack of bats I started with that famous tune, Take Me Out To The Ballgame. All that's missing is the peanuts and cracker jacks!

And after all that, it's only a 40 sec clip ..... none-the-less, I hope you enjoy this little bit of finger picking fun!

Holy Cow! HiFi [667k @ 00:41]

Let's PLAY BALL!

Well, this is confusing. I know that you all heard the clip by the comments that you made but I tried 4 times and it locked my computer up 4 times. I hear the first three or four words from the announcer at the beginning of the clip and it stops with no way of getting out without going to the Task Manager and hitting "End Task". Any ideas?

Hahaha,

Ok. Now I'm embarrassed.

Thanks guys!

eCowboy,

I don't know what to think about that. It's a straight mp3, nothing fancy. ??? Try right click and Save As to your local hard drive. ???
What mp3 player are you using? I know Quicktime will sometmes give me problems and I'll have to do the three fingered salute.

Let me know if the save as works.

Yes, that did work. I thought about saving earlier and then got tied up with something else and my 53 year old memory just forgot to go back and give that a try.

Loved it Les! Beautiful how that melody line just danced along underneath the picking. You could play that during the 7th inning stretch at any baseball stadium across America and have them singing and tapping along.

Yep, I'd like to learn that tune, while I'm not a huge baseball fan, I'm kinda looking for something that I can identify with, musically, to start doing some pickin' on. I tend to get wrapped up in the picking and then can't even remember where I'm at in the melody, since it's going so slow, or even what the song is supposed to sound like! At least, that's been my experience so far with some of the songs I've tried - I just can't identify the tune in all the twangs!

Nice Les, first class all the way. I've got some tabs on the elementary version of this song but yours is way cooler! It almost sounds like a banjo.
