Yeah, its hard not to get stuck in patterns. I'm still working on this exact thing.
"I think you might try listening to the BT a section at a time, say four bars. Then sing an improv out loud untill you get something you really like. The work at finding those notes( and don't forget the phraseing) on the guitar. I do this alot"

I'll give that a try. I'm a little shy with singing, so maybe when no one is in the house. Thanks for the suggestion, it should be helpful.

I'll continue to post more improf I think.

Oh, and I record through Kristal Audio. Then I Export it to audacity, and use the Mp3 encoder. It works decent, I guess. I'll post a short improf thing I did a while ago that shows how the tone is when its from an amp, then into the computer. The difference is huge.
