Beginner in Charlotte

Hey guys and gals.
Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a young fella living in Charlotte, NC and I have just decided to pick up the electric guitar. I am coming from a violin background so the transition shouldn't be too difficult. (hopefully). Anyone with tips or suggestions feel free to let me know. In the meantime, I'll continue hacking away!

Welcome,
When I think of NC, my mind automatically goes to that movie "Fargo" (I think that was the name) and how cold it was there, I don't imagine it's like that in Charlotte or your finger would be frozen.
I'm sure you'll enjoy it here.

Always nice to have a fiddler around when you need one. Welcome!

I tell you the world IS small. I have several cousins in Minneapolis. In fact I was just there over Thanksgiving where I attended a T-Wolves game on Saturday and a Vikings game on Sunday. It was great and wasn't even that cold yet.

Are you thinking of North Dakota instead of North Carolina?

I read somewhere that learning to play was a sort of negotiation between you and your guitar. I now believe it.

I sure am volfan, rather embarrasing, I'll have to blame it on a senior moment.

Welcome from another Charlotte dweller. after violin, guitar should be a snap - that is after the initial frustration of beginning any instrument.

How do you end up with 1 million dollars playing jazz? start with 2 million.

I heard they were thinking about changing their state motto to "North Dakota - where 40 below tends to keep out the riff-raff!".
