Thank you, Justlikeplayin and Allthumbs. Glad you liked it.
As always Eddie I appreciate your input.

Again I was worried about posting, I thought it could be seen as 'over-sentimental'. It's very hard to the draw the line before 'going over the top'.
I forgot to post the lyrics so here they are:

Sometimes on Sundays, it’s into the car,
Out with the family, it’s not too far,
Sand in my toes and chips for tea
Wish I could thank you for showing me the sea.

And in the park by the rivers side
We caught nothing though we really tried
No trout or salmon to take home free
Wish I could thank you for fishing all day with me

Inside your shed with your chisel and plane
You’d set to work for the family again,
Clever hands showed your skilful trade,
Wish I could thank you for all the things you made

And in your greenhouse in early spring
I stood and watched as the seeds went in
For summer borders of white and blue
Wish I could thank you for all the flowers you grew.

When I left home to start working life
You shook my hand and we said goodbye
A lonely train and a long, long ride
Wish I could thank you for standing by my side

Sometimes I didn’t know what to do
Then I could always rely on you
A helping hand any time of day
Wish I could thank you for showing me the way

And while the world kept rolling by
Our family wept as we said goodbye
An empty chair where you used to be,
Wish I could thank you but it’s not meant to be.
