I am curious as to what the sites policy would be on the following scenario.A member makes a request for a tab , another member fills the request for the tab via email with a tab that is either their own interpretation or a tab they have in their possesion, so the tab is not on the Gfbb servers only the request. (I realise the member supplying the tab would be in breach of copyright.)

Hi Matt,

Well we aren't going to start being the copyright police that's for sure. Members ask for TAB here on the site quite often and are directed to other TAB sites. Whatever members want to do via personal email doesn't have anything to do with us. But saying that, we don't really want members to start requesting other members to email them TAB either, that's not the purpose of this forum.

It's fairly easy to find any TAB you are looking for using Google anyway.

Cheers

Clancy

Hi Clancy
Thanks for the response, and I actually agree with your position, just wanted to pose the "what if" , I'm sure your well and truly over copyright issues ,as you say there are a ton of tabs still available all over the place .
Thanks Matt

That is a great idea, pay for tabs to download. That potentially could keep both sides happy. But $4.65 for each song, little steep. It's one thing to walk into a store and buy a printed song on good paper with a nice cover and all that, for something like that $4.65 is about right.

But on the net? The ads pay for the majority of the site, and there's no overhead in printing, shipping, stocking, etc.

Good start but needs to be better, IMO.

I agree. Learning new songs is becoming more difficult.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
