Solidwalnut's Lesson Guide
Here's a guide to my lessons here at GfB&B. This might be helpful so all lesson titles can be viewed on one page and in their categories. Hopefully the chart looks ok on your monitor. If you have trouble reading it and can't find a particular lesson, just let me know and I'll find it for you. Note that if there isn't a link on a lesson, then it isn't published yet but is in process. I'll keep this list updated. Let me know if you find a missing or broken link.
You'll also find my strong opinion on how a person might go about learning the guitar in the lesson
Playbook for the Beginner and Beyond. I've broken down the learning process into five different areas. The five areas are:
1 The mechanics of making chords,
2 The basic chord formation layout of the neck of the guitar,
3 Learn basic rhythm and strumming (or fingerstyle) techniques,
4 Learn basic music theory and
5 Add musicianship to your playing. Be sure to check out the special lesson/article for Area 5
Playbook for Beginners and Beyond: Adding Musicianship.
If you need some tips on learning how to play your favorite songs, be sure to check out the article
Learn to Play Any Song.
For tips on audio mixing, be sure to check out the
Tips for Audio Mixdown series. It can give you ideas on how to listen to songs critically and so you can make them sound as you intend to in the final product.
All the best,
Steve
