Like asking what my favorite fruit is... Each has a different appeal.

I really enjoyed a Soldano head a good friend had... as well as an old Mark lll Mesa Boogie head I had once... AFTER retubing it...

I think my Ampeg VL50 was overall the best amp I've owned... Great clear sound and overdive until the cows came home... just kept getting hotter and dirtier as the tubes warmed up. It was sooo loud, and soooo heavy I decided after rupturing a disc I'd go for lighter gear.

Now my V-Amp 2 and little junk amp clean channel get every cool sound I've ever needed... and I can tote my entire setup in at once... guitar, gig bag, amp and satchel of lyrics... its soooo sweet and light!
