I sure wouldn't be much of a spokesman, but heres a little taste of it. Mind you, I didn't play with any settings and remember who your dealing with as a player here. Finally think I got the latency thing figured, have to fiddle w/it tomorrow. It is a really nice app, just another learning curve...oh boy. and I didn't realize my tripod was resting against my dog causing the shake, just read the first part of this again.
lots of bells & whistles with this toy.

I have GR1 as well and the latency is such a pain that I do not use it much anymore. I was ok for a bit of fun but not for any serious playing.
It states that GR2 has a built in sound card so the latency should go, I know when I had the Zoom G2 pedal which had a sound card built in that there was no latency.
I would love it but it is too much of a risk with latency!

krissovo, I've been having the latency thing for quite some time, I'm using asio4all and in GR under asio config, I kept getting "another app is using this" {something like that} error, I unistalled it restarted an reloaded and it seems to be fine now, need more testing but the mrs is sleeping and my neighbor borrowed my h/phones. Another thing I did tonight was to open task manager and stop all non-essential apps from running, I'm on a almost 4 yr old desktop, but it seemed to help keep the pc lag down.

Thanks for that, I suppose I should sort it out. I am using mine on a very high spec desktop PC with a great Soundblaster soundcard so I should get near zero latency. AISO keeps causing problems elsewhere and at times I would rather play for 2 hours than mess around with the PC especially as I work on PC's all day in the office, the last thing I want is to go home and spend more time on one.
Oh well something for the weekend

I hear you on the time issues. I'm using the cheap external Sound Blaster,512ram,2.87Ghz process, and all I can say is I can't wait til morning to crank it back up and run it thru the mill and see if she holds.I keep ya informed.

That's the biggest thing that keeps me from fiddling more with the guitar/computer interfaces. It's much easier and less hassle to just plug right into my amp when I want to play, and the amp speakers sound much better than my PC speakers anyhow. With the Micro Cube, I can play at volumes so low that I can hear my unamplified strings over the amp volume (if I want to keep it quiet), or I can plug in the headphones and make my ears ring if I so choose!

Well, I think I got er figured out. I was using the asio4all "off-line" control panel in GR1 instead of the "apps" panel. Hard to tell in this vid, because the camera mic was only inches away and my monitors were about 6' away. But if you watch the striking you can see no latency{well at least to my inexperienced eyes & ears}.
Anyways another thanks out you guys, this is the second app that I had, that your post's inspired me to dig up and pursue,{other was Adobe Audition}.Guitar Rig is a great app considering that you would have to have handfulls of pedals/processors to make the sounds available on it, but then again you couldn't gig-out with it to easy.
I'm happy with it for whatever that means to you

I've been trying to use VST's in real time with Kristal and Reaper but can't get the latency down to acceptable levels. I've been fiddling with two different PC's. Several different sound cards and ASIO4ALL. I've been able to reduce it quite a bit, but not all the way. So I'm sticking with pedals for now.

I don't blame you fly, it can be a real nitemare sometimes. I have the luxury of working from home and with all my "equipment in the same room, I can afford to spend the time fiddlin with them. One would think after the amount of time spent I would be walking encyclopedia of info, but the truth of the matter is 90 perecnt of the time I just stumble on to a cure, with-out knowing what I did to achive it. Well all that and the fact that I don't own one pedal{sad to say}.

The only problem is you have to buy the pedal separate

I'm an amplitube user too.. much cheaper than guitar rig, less noise and more realistic sounds I reckon
For example this is a bog standard Affinity Squier Strat recorded into Acid Pro 6 using Amplitube's 'Pink Wall' preset as a VST. There is some background hiss - but nowhere near as bad as the Guitar rig 2 demo I tried out...
