Same all over this region and others ...and Wales, there could be quite a list. In fact I chose the hester pit disaster from a very big list and those were only in the UK.

My grandad was a miner too, he didn't die in the mines but had a very serious back injury caused by a roof collapse. My Dad wasn't a miner but he worked in mines for a time, he was a bricklayer and he lined shafts and tunnels with brick.
