Mmmmmmm, that's a real beauty, Wern!!! I'll bet she sounds like a dream too.
Congrats on the new addition to your family, and also on getting into a band.....you've got it ALL going on right now!

Is it wrong that I've been playing for less than a week, yet I'm drooling all over the picture of that guitar?
I read somewhere that learning to play was a sort of negotiation between you and your guitar. I now believe it.

Nice looking guitar!
Some years back I toured Precision Pearl Inlay and watched them making PRS fingerboard birds, as well as inlays for many other popular guitar brands.

The axe is great I love the tone and the look... She plays like heaven and I still need to get her setup... I am thinking of putting heavier guage strings on her but I am not sure whether that is such a good idea... I love the tone but I tend to get some fret buzz. Now I think it might be due to the fact that I am playing with a stubby plectrum... But I don't really want to lose the light action... Maybe it is just the fact that the guitar has not been setup properly... Decisions decisions...
I still have a premium setup that I got as a bonus when buying the guitar. So i will decide when I take the guitar in for its setup in a couple of weeks... I actually got quite a basket full of goodies when I bought the guitar... I got a 10 Watt VOX pathfinder amplifier, a Tuner/Metronome, a locking strap, two sets of elixer strings, a guitar multitool and a nice polishing cloth...And I got some nice discount...
Anyway My son is named Hanko, for anyone that is interested...

The guitar is definitely a great baby to play... I have been struggling with cetain aspects of guitaring for a while, and on the first day of picking up the PRS I could do the impossible... (well at least for me...) Maybe I am going to JHB this weekend to get the guitar setup... If all works out well with my work...

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
Buy it now for only $10 |
