Nice to see lots of crazy Canadians hanging out on this guitar site.
The 12 string isn't so bad once yet used to it. I have a hard time doing string bends when I try to play things like the solos for Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd. The reason I like it is that: It was made in Canada in Newfoundland, (it's a Garrison) and that it makes so much damn noise you don't even need an amp. And for someone who is just an amateur, it makes it sound like I'm playing more strings than I am -- if that makes sense. Just kind of fills in the empty spaces.
Ironically, now I'm working at stripping out and stifling the sound to play songs like I Shot the Sheriff and No Woman No Cry. Just need more practice with string muting.
