Can amps be stored in a well built but unheated garage without damage?

Agree with allthumbs on the garage no matter how well their built they will attract moisture and mildew would be an issue if they're left for any amount of time, don't know how big you're amp is but we have a bed with legs high off the floor so I put stuff under the bed but it depends on what type of bed you have, I suppose you could throw a cloth over the amp and use it as a bedside table.
I have guitars dotted around the house there's always a corner in a room that isn't used so they don't get in the way. Another option would be to turn the garage into a studio, damp proof it put a carpet down, if you have other stuff in there you could buy a shed and store them in it which would solve that problem, a lot of people do convert garages into rooms, if your serious about your music it would be money well spent an extra room would probably put value on your property as well.
On a lighter note and in no way a serious suggestion, if all else fails you'll have to buy the Wife a blow up bed and ask her to sleep in the living room this will free up a lot of space.
Cheers
