Gentle Spring Guitar Melody

Here's a first mix of a new Lewis & Walker tune. I did a jam a little over 2 years ago on this lick, then shelved it, only to revive it a few days ago.

Our working title was "Jaws" but now I think it might be "Wide Open"

RB, I downloaded it and uploaded as an attachment here just in case you continue to have problems... wouldn't want anyone missing out of having a listen.

As an absolute beginner, I stand in awe of stuff like this, as I do when I'm listening to any of you folks' recordings. Honestly, I only hope to someday approach being able to play like you bunch of maniacs.

I read somewhere that learning to play was a sort of negotiation between you and your guitar. I now believe it.

Rocker,

Aunt Doty is a country girl, you must have hit a chord there.

Thanks! But I don't know if I really qualify as a maniac. I'd like to, but I think I fall short.

You've got me pegged Eddie...but I do like other things if it's not too heavy metal!! I think diversity is good!

Great tune, Rockerbob! This one definitely gets added to the "GFB&B" selection on my iPod!

Great Song....I'm such a sucker for a GREAT opening riff that just grabs your attention. The ZZ feel done right can never get old! Awesome Jam!

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
