Stringslinger,
I am a professional machine tool designer and tool maker with 35years experience. I grew up in the trade the term "tricks of the trade" was common. We all learned form the book. When we actually started working in the real environment we were gast to find out that what we learned in the book and real world application became a night and day differance. The seasoned tool makers were made everything look simple. In fact after years of working with them, We all began to realize just what it meant. AH !
This applies to
Plane Talk. Many guitar players can play very well, can run circles around many of us. When we seek an explanation, they are quick to show you how its done. So here is the challange.
Have them put into visual content with vivid understanding.
Like you, I have enought sotware, dvd's, books, to sink the Titanic if it were still around.
Everthing you have always wanted to understand about that fret board lies in this learning method. Tricks ? Maybe more like vivid understanding from a seasoned player who could put into a version we can all understand.
