  Cautious...

Ok, I've been through the CAGED method... and its ok, though the fretboard logic book isn't good, I came up with a better method (but similar) on my own. However... ITS ALL HARD WORK, and I STILL CAN'T IMPROVISE, but I can put together solos given enough time, though I'm still not "good" yet.

I'm currently reading the BEAD method for guitar... its ok, but still it doesn't really show you anything thats going to improve you right away. though I'm only about half way through this book.

I've probably spent 1000+ dollars on books, videos, dvds etc... only to be disappointed with most, and the ones that I liked only taught me beter technique... so I'm a guitar player who can play 1000 miles per hour and still can't make music, atleast not well.

I'm pretentious about spending another 70+ dollars on this method... I guess because the word "trick" is used so much... I just hope the "trick" isn't on me and my wallet!

I believe that I will buy this product this week (when I get paid), I pray to God that this finally will show me something that makes the guitar easier... not that I mind putting in hard work, playing scales over and over, and playing chords until I can finger them in my sleep, and memorizing whatever I need too.... but none of this seems to break that wall between theory and music... I just assume if I keep on practicing, I'll eventually be able to play pretty well.

Maybe this is what I've been looking for... for the past 5 years or so... It would just be nice if there a sampling of the method somewhere... instead of "the trick" being some isoteric phrase that is supposed to impress? me... but I'm desperate to play better, and tired of filling my brain with soooo much theory and scales and everything else that seems to only take me a baby step farther than where I was... but at a very high cost of time, energy, patience with practice.
