Hey, Don't be sorry. Just from the stuff I've read, seen & heard, Super Strat is sort of a generic term for a Strat shaped guitar that has lots of extra goodies the original strats didn't have. Matter of fact, the Humbucker on a strat type body was NOT the idea of Fender. Prior to Fender buying Jackson and guild and a multitude of other companies, I think it was Jackson that added a humbucker to that style of body. (could be, probably wrong, but ...!)
I mean, take a look at all the guitars out there that resemble a Strat body and see what's on it. it took a few years before Fender actually used a FLoyd Rose or FR type trem instead of their own.
anyhoo, it's just a term that the industry in general put out there. You can apply it to just about any Strat modelled guitar out.
Fact is Scrappydidn't has a nice looking, and I'm sure, nice sounding rig. The HotRod deluxe is one, sweet amp!! And running his MIM Start through it,, mmmmmm, oh yeh!
