Amparoo!

Just picked up an older Peavey Bandit 112 Transtube combo amp from Craigslist this weekend. Traded my Yamaha Magicstomp plus $50 for it. Even though the Magicstomp has lots of cool FX I just couldn't warm up to the distortion. I didn't really have high hopes for the amp but thought I'd give it a try anyway. I recently sold a Fender 900 Deluxe. It was a much newer and nicer amp w/ footswitch and DSP FX. But again I felt no love for the distortion.

Much to my surprise the Bandit overdrive sounds are quite pleasing to my ear. The tolex has a couple of scrapes but the controls work great w/ no scratchy knobs. Just need to find a foot switch for it. Everything from clean, bluesy crunch to metal distortion sounded like the best of my pedals if not better. Plus a nice reverb. I'll post some clips soon.

Also in the picture is a super clean little Fender Pro Jr I picked up off Craigslist for $150 a while back. Quite frankly I like the Peavey better. I also like my Epi Valve Jr head and 1x12 cab better than the Pro Jr.

Thats a great swap! AMP's are the way forward instead of those nasty multi pedals.

Look forwad for a clip of the sound

I made a footswitch for my Vox AD30VT. Quite simple. A stereo jack and 2 push switches (built a floor box to mount them). I'm able to change channels (1 and 2) and also on/off the amp effects. I think something like this would work for you, the wiring concept is probably varily universal. I would give a search on the web.
I'm addicted to diy.
Nice find.

I have a footswitch for a Marshall amp that I can give a try. I just sent Peavey and email asking for the schematic. I read where others have requested and received schematics. It worked when I sent Art an email requesting the schematic for their tube preamp.
