Hello all
Hey, I just turned 18 today and my parents got me a guitar as a present. I've been meaning to take it up for years now and I finally have no reason to procrastinate. I've got 12 grades of music theory under my belt, which makes the basic concepts easy enough to understand, but the physical action is a bit of a shock.
I've gone through the first guitar lesson on about.com (are those good? bad?) and I know how to tune my guitar, play the chromatic scale, and the G and C Major chords, but I run into trouble with the D major because my fingers just don't want to scrunch together. So my question to this forum is: Are there exercises you recommend to make my fingers more limber for this? Thanks.
