i also had this problem when i began , it can be resolved by practising certain chords and scales which will help to stretch your fingers apart.
practise your natural minor scales , then your harmonic minor which has a raised 7th note (in relation to the natural) and is a difficult stretch.
also try this chord , when you can play it without any problems , you are getting somewhere . it is , in this case Fmaj7 , but can be moved up the neck like any other barre chord.
