Beatles- And You're Bird Can Sing

Ok I'll play -I've really struggled with recording, been learning just this year. I'm a Beatle fan and this is one of my better efforts so far.
All me except the cheesy canned looping drum track, I like to sing -Capo is used.
Harmonized guitar is is one guitar-one track....I think Harrison did each guitar part seperate (two tracks)

Hey Nowhere-man! My brother did a pretty nice version of "Nowhere Man" years ago. He really nailed the harmonies! Its an old copy on a cassett tape- He made it before we had computers on some home recording setup he had at the time. I oughtta try and to get it in my computer and upload that one.

PickNGrin

I just had a listen and I have to agree with all the other positive comments that have been offered because that was excellent.

Well Done!!

It worked! Ran an old casstte player into soundcard and converted to mp3. This was in the days before computers....you recorded a track and got one shot ...no editing after or setting levels.

Wow, that is awesome!

Did your brother do all the tracks himself, or were others involved?

PicknGrin.... Wow what can I say? Don't think I've ever had anybody sing to me before!
Seriously though, thanks a lot for that, it's fabulous, very professional. Good quality for an old cassette too, isn't it? I guess you had to clean it up a bit.
Reckon you would make a good job of it too if ever you get around to it.
Is your brother still making music?
Thanks again, it's top of my hits list now.

The entire Nowhere Man recording is Chris, the bass and drums were done on the keyboard he had at the time. That has to be 10 years old, and I have no way of cleaning up the old tape-the original was lost years ago.
We get together the 2nd Saturday night of each month, along with a bass player and a drummer. We've had about 10 sessions and are only beginning to gel, we do 3 part vocal harmonies. The bass player and I had bands way back as 14 / 15 year olds----that was over 30 years ago. My brother and I have always lived far apart---up until last year- so now, we play together again!
I'll post a clip of our jam sessions when I get somthing decent enough, we typically record the whole evenings.

Were you really on the cover of Time Magazine?

Hi PickNGrin

I went to your site & saw a picture of the Time mag cover, is that you on there? If so what's the story behind it? Are we in the presence of an international star?

More importantly, very cool MP3!

Curious

Dan

PS. I love the Dr Hook song about getting there picture on the cover of the Rolling Stone, it worked for them.

LOL! Well its me..yes... but my brother photoshopped the pic on the magazine cover. I had a '56 chevy at the time, which I fixed up and painted and eventually sold at a profit. If your old enough, there is a give away...."Carter" was not the president at the the time of Woodstock!
