I think there are some threads here (from the old GFB forum) that should be deleted as they contain information about the site that is no longer valid. I also think some threads could maybe be closed after a certain amount of time but as for deleting them altogether after 2 or 3 months, that seems a little extreme to me. There is usually a bit of good information in each thread somewhere (or at least there should be) that could help someone out in the future.
I also think that it's good to keep old threads as it gives members the chance to go looking for posts made by other members to see who they are dealing with if the need is there. I am a member of other forums and when I read advice given by a member I'm not familiar with, I will often go and read through old posts to try a get a feel of where that person is coming from... Also if I get a PM from another member who I am unfamiliar with, I will definitely do a bit of research into them and their posts before I go responding.
Anyway, that's the way I see things. Anyone else care to add their 2 cents?
