"Little Wing" Jam Collab

Maybe this is the most overplayed rock song ever but its so freaking great to play a solo ever it. I have this backing track that i can edit (loops) to make a bigger file to allow many guitarists on the forum to join on this jam adventure session. So, who´s in? Acoustic or electric guitarists is Ok!

wjp01908: thanks for the rush bro!!! Great playing there. Im just recording the intro for the tune, but im still waiting for the other 3 submissions, and the reason for this is that i want to know wich direction is it going to take this whole jam and at the end decide wich style would "FIT" the recording i do. I was planning to do a bluesy thing, but if everybody is going to attempt it maybe i should change the idea for a diferent vibe

Waiting for you guys!

Lads, here is my effort

There are a couple of bum notes as I did not get as long as I wanted between work trying to get my new computer working. Ok I know enough of the excuses, but I wanted to get it out for the rest of you!

Ok, I'm having major issues uploading the mp3 file. I did my take & added it on to Krissovos & Wills. So, hopefully , it comes across. If not, I'll try Clancy & see if she can assist.

If it comes over, any constructive criticism is appreciated. Thanks!

Drats!!! just checked, no file......bummer! Oh Clancy!!

I've attached the file to your post above Andy. Not sure what the problem was. It uploaded fine for me.

Cheers

Clancy

This is weird!! My take and the intro its on my website on soundclick. I tried 4 times in a row and i canNOT upload the file here, (any bug?) so im gonna upload the file there for Chsude to use it. Dang! I was forced to push the Dist pedal because i was the last one and ripp my fingers on that take I did many, many takes before you hear what is recorded, but when i just stand up from that chair i played what was on my head at the moment and i decided to leave that performance because it was so fun to do it

Its up to you now CHSUDE

You didn`t let anybody down Krissovo - you stuck your neck out and gave it your best shot.

You don`t learn anything in the comfort zone!

If it's finished you should post it in the recording booth as the members not involved have probably not been keeping up with this thread.

No WAY!!!!! You did fine!
And the only way you get comfortable in an uncomfortable situation is to do it more often!! And I think the others agree, cutting your section out would not be accepted! It was a group effort and a learning process, too.

I was worried about the often mentioned problem of recording....when the red button is pushed, all the fingers start doing anything but what I want them to do. I was a bit worried at first, but after a few practice runs, became comfortable with it.

In the past two days, I have downloaded one of AllThumbs BTs and have been working on that. It is amazing how you can improve when you record what you play, then go back & give it another listen. I mean, you know when you hit a bad note, or fatfingered something as you play it. But, when you go back and give it another listen, you think..."hmm, I cut that note a bit short, probably could have been held longer." Or, "oh, I rushed through that piece, maybe next time I'll take my time." That kind of stuff.

So, in that regard, man, I learned a lot!!

Krissovo, you sounded fine! I expect to hear more stuff now!!

Will, You did good! Even though you did your track first, it sounded almost like in intentional increase in distortion. GT did the intro with his "hendrix, semi-clean tone, I think (in my ears) that I bumped up the distortion a bit on my track, then yours pushed it up a bit again. I thought it worked good!

CShude, you brought us back tone wise
with that clean, bluesy feel, matching Hendrix' and GT original tone, and the playing was suhweeet!!

And GT, Dude!! the intro was sweet!!! The tone was real close to Hendrix' tone. Then you really crossed me up at the end!! Wasn't expecting the speed runs! But you worked it well!! Absolutely!

GT, Great idea! Thanks and to the rest of ya!!....TOO COOL!!
