I have strummed acoustic guitar off and on for 30 years but bought my first electric 4 years ago. I have bought more than a dozen other guitar books and none of them came close to Planetalk in giving me confidence to improvise over any song. To sum it up, it's a no nonsense, simple approach to visualizing the fretboard with just the right amount of music theory so that it all makes sense. Wish I would have found it sooner.
